Spent 4 nights at Wade Lake Campground over Labor Day weekend. We wanted a lakeside site but were planning too late to make a reservation anywhere. The campground has 4 sites in the lower loop on the lake and the rest of the sites are in the upper loop. We arrived on Thursday night and stayed in site 12 in the upper loop, then chatted with a few people in the lower loop the next morning and arranged a swap for site 2. We had a relatively level site, a nice view, and a trail down to the water. The only downside is the road to the campground. It's certainly not the worst road we've been on but has several potholes and is heavily washboarded, even some of the paved sections. We have a campervan and we saw a number of travel trailers and truck campers there.

The campground has a boat launch, water faucets, pit toilets, picnic tables, and firepits. There is also a resort close by that has boat, kayak, canoe, and paddleboard rentals. They do not sell firewood so bring your own. There is no cell service but we were able to get service at the top of the hill before going down to the lake.
