Store employees let me check-in 30 minutes early and then another person escorted us to site A-11. Wow great start! Sadly this person had also been watering the grass prior to our arrival, and his efforts left several large muddy spots. The tree shade was nice. The dirt site was a pull-through with full hookups and it was quite level. Analog cable channels were a snowy and disastrous mess. Management should fix this as all of the channels were unviewable. Prior online posts have also referenced this issue. Inexcusable! Fortunately our TV antenna was able to program 20+ crystal clear over-the-air channels. Free wifi was spotty at best. It kept disconnecting on multiple devices at our site. Onsite restaurant delivers food to your site free of charge. We ordered 2 breakfast menu items and the total was a little over 12 bucks. Decent prices! Unheated pool was small and unimpressive. We enjoyed the circular dog walking path. Onsite bathrooms were clean.

I had no issues with my arrival and checkin. The caretaker led me to my pull-through space and gave me a quick overview of the hookups, etc. He was friendly and helpful. This park really is a village of trees and I appreciated the shade as Idaho was pretty hot in July 2021. I was at the end of Row A, which gave me a nice view of the meadow and resident horses, and a view to the Snake River. Bathrooms were clean and conveniently located to this space. There are permanent residents in this park, but this wasn't an issue for me as their sites were clean and they respected the campers. But I probably wouldn't want to be in the middle of permanent residents. There is a shady, grassy play area for kids, tents, a pool, and the store is handy. I was unplugged from all electronics, so I can't report on cell service at this site. The park was clean and quiet and I enjoyed my one-night stay.

Made reservation and paid online prior to arrival. When we called ahead to inquire about propane the girl on the phone sounded really annoyed we would bother her with the question. Upon arrival went to check in inside the store as the signs indicated. When entering we noticed that not a single employee had a mask on despite it being a pandemic. We politely asked if they could bring us the paperwork outside because we weren’t comfortable being indoors with people who weren’t wearing masks. They said yes but failed to come outside. After some time had passed we called them on the phone asking for our paperwork and space assignment. We were told someone would be right out. Another worker arrived on a golf cart and went inside and spoke to the other employees then came out and said,”why don’t you head down the rode. We don’t need you telling us how to run our business.” We were completely flabbergasted and explained being older we were concerned about our health and safety during the pandemic and simply asked if we could do the paperwork outside. The guy looked completely annoyed and walked back inside. We walked back to our rig all prepared to leave when a third employee showed up via golf cart and asked what was going on. We relayed the entire story (from above) and he said he could show us to our site. We thanked him and told him we weren’t there to offend anyone just wanted to keep ourselves safe, plug in for the night and be on our way. Traumatized from the experience we settled in and left early in the morning. No way would we return here.

There is plenty of shade from all the trees. Plenty of green grass and the Snake River is only 500’ away. All spots are have ample room between each other. The spots are also so level that I didn’t even have to put blocks under the wheels. The water, power and sewer are in close proximity so there was no need for extension cords, multiple water hoses or super long sewer hoses.
The park is very quiet. There is no noise from the extended stay residents like one reviewer said. The noise from the freeway is what you’d expect it to be but if you’re in your unit with the a/c and television going you can’t even hear it.
The park is part of a truck stop and store/restaurant. The store is well stocked and the restaurant will deliver right to your campsite! Ice is dirt cheap...$2 for a 7lb bag.
WiFi was free and even though my connection to it was only at 30% I had no problems streaming Hulu, Netflix ,CBS and TubiTV anytime of the day or night.
I was down here for the sugar beet harvest, which means I was working 12-15 hours a day/6-7 days a week. I have two dogs that needed walking a couple times during my working hours. I had no trouble finding a resident that was dependable and cheap ($25/week).
Getting to a sizable town was only 8 miles down an 80mph highway (Burley).
And finally, I have a 1985 Fleetwood Southwind that’s in need of a paint job. They didn’t even blink at allowing me in the park.

I had booked here for ten days, planning to relax in camp and use it as my base to see the surrounding area. They placed me right in the middle of the “long-term resident” area, basically a mobile home park in the middle of the park. Fights between neighbors, cars parked blocking me in, chain smokers who spend the day staring into your windows and best of all, NO shade. We even had a big puddle right outside our door that gathered rain or as they watered every-other day.
I asked to be moved at the desk to move to another location, I asked the employees in the golf carts, I emailed the contact address on the website. Nobody seemed able to do anything to get me moved. Eventually I located a gravel pile in the park and decided to at least solve the mud getting tracked in myself. Of course, they spotted me moving gravel and came running to scold me.
Thankfully THAT employee was able to find a way to get me moved to another spot where the rest of my stay was better.
Overall the trout pond (catch and release), the clouds of dragonflies and the easy river access were the saving grace here, but I won't be back.
The bathrooms get cleaned regularly, but still always manage to have a gas-station feel to them. Not to mention that twice we had someone force the doors while we were inside.
TL; DR: A trailer park behind a truck stop, but okay if you can get away from the long-term residents. The pool is TINY, the hot-tub is closed and the Wi-Fi goes from 1-2 Mbs to completely non-existent.

If you need to stop for the night, it’s great, but I’d never want to stay here for a whole vacation, even though there’s a lot of long-timers here. The staff are really nice and will deliver breakfast to your site from the on site restaurant.

Trees provide shade, but there’s not much privacy as it is a typical RV park layout and there is no undergrowth. Bathrooms were clean and staff were friendly enough. Sites were level and hookups were in good condition. Some highway noise, but not bad.

But Village of Trees is on the good side of what a roadside transit stop should be. The staff was friendly and accommodating, to the point where they granted my wish for an end spot closest to the Snake River, where the dogs got to swim adjacent to a boat launch. I ordered a decent fried shrimp basket from their grill, which they delivered right to our campsite. My wife got caught up on laundry from her Canada trip, we had a pull-through site with hookups, and we were quickly back on the road in the morning.

This was one of those "Okay we need to stop and sleep somewhere tonight. Where will it be?" spots. It's right off the freeway, but it actually DOES have a lot of trees and it's quite pretty.
