What a great startup campground! Village Camp Flagstaff is affordable for all the amenities they provide! FHU and the snow covered mountains in the background provide amazing scenery as you sit and enjoy a beautifully crafted cocktail at the Clubhouse. The bartenders were so hospitable and kind, and mixed a MEAN espresso martini (but all of the cocktails we tried were great). Pizza & flatbread was awesome too! They even had live music on Friday night. Clubhouse opens at 8am and they have an espresso machine that’s not too bad.
5 washing machines ($2) & 8 dryers ($1.75) plus a stupid $.25 connivence fee unless you download the app.
Very nice bathhouses with individual potty/shower rooms. Slippery floors though!
We ended up extending our stay because it was so nice. Promo code RVLIFE15 for 15% off
The only cons:
1. wifi needs some serious work. If you’re stopping as a remote worker, good luck!
2. There were VERY few patches of grass for our dog. Everything is pavement, rock, or gravel. If your dog can’t be off leash, there are limited options, but we made it work. If they can be off leash, the campground borders the Coconino National Forest and they have gates to explore there.
3. They’re still breaking in their driveways. Loose gravel makes it hard to drive on.
4. Trains run all night, we slept fine because we adventured all day long and were exhausted but if you’re a light sleeper, they’ll keep you up.

We were passing through for a night and booked a basic site. Sites were simple with good hookups. Bathrooms were awesome - private with nice showers. Pool was closed for the season but the kids loved the hot tubs. This would be a fun place to stay for multiple nights.

We had the pleasure of staying at Village Camp in Flagstaff, AZ. We loved the amazing views of the surrounding mountains landscape. One of the highlights of this resort is its modern clubhouse. With a bar and bistro onsite, you can enjoy a refreshing drink or tasty meal without having to leave the comfort of the resort. We had one of the outdoor kitchen and fireplace set-ups which we really enjoyed.
While you're there, be sure to visit some of the great local breweries. Our favorites included Mother Road Brewing Company, Lumberyard Brewing Co., and Historic Brewing Barrel + Bottle House. Each one offered unique brews that added to our wonderful experience.
During our stay, we also took the opportunity to visit Grand Canyon National Park. It's just over an hour's drive from the resort and it was definitely worth it. The breathtaking views of the canyon were unforgettable and made our trip even more special.

Booked a “Super Premium” spot (7 nights @ $154/nt) with table, bbq & fire pit which were lovely amenities, we enjoyed these immensely . And we had the great pleasure of meeting Jeff who’s hospitality was above and beyond. He loved our dog Jack (see pic) and even brought us bbq ribs from him and his wife Katie one night for dinner. Now for the reason we wouldn’t come back.
1. After we were all setup (jacks, slides, utilities) we discovered their power wasn’t working. It happens and Jeff showed up quickly, tested and made the call to move us to a site with working power. A pain but not the end of the world.
2. Backing into the spots with heavy rigs the gravel is not level and loose so you will sink and likely spin your tires getting in and out of non-compacted loose gravel.
3. In billy goat fashion you have to scramble over large loose decorative rocks to connect your utilities. And every time you need to open a basement on that side.
4. There is no place for the dogs to potty! There is a small patch of grass a long walk away where the tiny home sales office is with a small trash can that is overflowing with poop bags everyday for the last five days. You can duck under the back gate (much closer), pictured above, goes to forest service land for a nice walk in the weeds and cow patty’s. Then you have to go on the hunt for a trash can to put 💩 in.
5. The “valet” trash service is nice, except if you want to dispose of trash after 12noon. There is no dumpster to deposit rubbish in.
6. The water connection is too low. Unable to connect a filter or splitter barely enough clearance for a small pressure regulator.
7. One day after enjoying the Grand Canyon a staff member with piercings in her lips (Rihanan I believe), waived us down and scolded us for not stopping at a stop sign that is barely visible (see pic). This really upset my husband (the absolute rule follower) and then we watched everyone on the staff continually run internal stop signs but they had the audacity to demean their guests!
8. And the most detrimental part of our experience was the constant train noise and horns. This is out of their control but the trains were loud and the horns and whistles blowing all night long was unbearable. The first night we said we would try to make the best of it, we tried ear plugs and finally have just given in to sleep depravity. I’m not a light sleeper so this was just awful.
I thought staying here was going to be a nice treat and we splurged on the “super premium”, however, for $154/night you shouldn’t have to “make do” or be grumpy because you haven’t slept since arrival.

The sites have a great cement pad to use as a patio, but the site itself is rocks. They weren't completely level and required a bit of blocking and were a little loose getting in and out of.
The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is the noise from the I40 which is nearby and an extremely busy train track.

For $90/night I figured it must be nice so didn’t cancel. Well it is nice and clean, and the bathhouse was lovely, but sites are all big rock gravel and very close together so no privacy. No where for dog to walk or pee as all concrete and big gravel and no grass. The WiFi was not very good, and the only place to buy food
was the one gas station at the exit. I think it will be very nice once the pool and clubhouse are completed, but then they will probably charge quite a bit more.

Super cool spot. It is lots of big spread out trees, but also a lot of open space but also very private. A lot of people can fit back in there comfortably. And lots of wood around for fires.
