Overall Rating
This is a city park, there are water and electric, site was fairly level. Minimal road noise. Main drawback is no restroom or shower - but that is expected with such a minimal fee. Fee was $12 plus a $3 reservation fee online. Good hiking trails in the park.

12 dollar full hook ups. Clean Quiet Good vibes. Close to everything. Victoria is a very nice town to visit. I enjoyed my 1week stay.

We’ve stayed here before and loved it. But they now require 48 hours advanced reservations. We arrived on a Sunday with plenty of open sites but were unable to use any because of the new rule. We had to leave :(

We stayed here because we could not get reservations as Goliad State Park. We LOVED it. We had full hookups for only $12 a night. The park is located on a bike / walking trail. The trail has signs about the city's history... AND we scanned a QR code on one of the signs and got free shirts! There is also disc gold in the park the ... more

The park is located on a bike / walking trail. The trail has signs about the city's history... AND we scanned a QR code on one of the signs and got free shirts! There is also disc gold in the park the trail goes through.
However, there is NO shade and it would be sweltering in the summer.

Full hook ups and all pull through sites. As previously stated you have to claim a site then go .8 mi to office to pay . Then they come unlock the electric box. If you come in after 5 pm on weekdays , you won’t get electricity. Same goes if you get here after 5 on Friday you won’t have electricity for the weekend. Nice park with lots o... more

We heard a train during the night but quiet otherwise. We got 5 OTA TV stations.

Weird you have to drive .8 mi to park office after you claim a spot. There was room in their parking lot to stop and turn around w flat tow ... barely. Nice lady signed me up then followed me to unlock. I hear a reservation system. Length of stay rules seemed real fair. Full Hookups!!!

Showed up at 2 pm there were plenty of empty sites picked one went to park office they came and unlocked the electric. Most sites are very level. We enjoyed the 3 days we stayed, will stay again when in the area.

We always stay here while traveling to the RGV and planned to arrive early enough Saturday to get a spot. We pulled in to an empty spot, but when we tried to hook up, found the electric box locked and a sign stating the office is only open until 4 m-f so we were out of luck and had to scramble to find another campground. We always stay here while traveling to the RGV and planned to arrive early enough Saturday to get a spot. We pulled in to an empty spot, but when we tried to hook up, found the electric box locked and a sign stating the office is only open until 4 m-f so we were out of luck and had to scramble to find another campground. Definitely not happy campers. Looks like more changes in the new year, so travelers who have stayed here in the past need to plan ahead.

18 sites with room for approximately 4 overflow. Got here at 1pm and grabbed the last one. Nice lady answers when you call the tel # listed. She can let you know of empty sites but can’t guarantee a site. Clean and kept up nicely.

New signs posted at every campsite indicating RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED starting Jan 3, 2023. Call the Parks and Rec office to reserve 361-485-3200 Price still the same $12 FHU $2 Dump only. Payment made in drop box at the Park office up the road.
