Verdigris River

Quite place to spend the night in our road trip. The dam was opened so it was nice to have a water running background noice while sleeping. Restrooms needs attention.

We arrived on Friday night and it was easy to get into a spot. The spots available are close together but plenty of room for our little camper. There does seem to be more tables then there is actual parking. There appears to be 7 camp sites but the site we were in and the one next to us kind of ran together and I am not sure you could fit 2 campers there. The camping area is clean and the bathrooms , though a short walk away were clean as well. There is a water faucet available for use. The campsites are above the Verdigris River, where there were lots of people fishing and a boat ramp on the other side from the camping area. The downside we found to this camping area was the amount of traffic in and out They came and went at all hours. There was a lot of people fishing so I don't know if they were coming in and out at night for catfishing or kids partying, etc. The people were quiet, it was just the cars and the doors. Oolagah Lake is also just across the road with a sand beach swimming area area and boat ramp. All in all an okay place to camp.
