We stayed in an RV at Verde Valley Thousand Trails. It is close to area attractions like Sedona, AZ, Old Town Cottonwood, AZ, Jerome, AZ, Out of Africa Wildlife Park, Tuzigoot Ruins and Montezuma's Castle and Well. There are several very different kinds of RV sites. There are ones that are gravel with great views of the valley and are very large, some with trees and some with grassy lawns. Most of them had full hookups, with a few that were water and power only. If you stay in one of the sites up on the hill, you will have better views of the valley but the majority of these sites are gravel sites, all the grassy sites are in the valley or the lower level of the resort. We were there over Halloween weekend and they had several activities planned. A Halloween party and dance, a car show and a concert. They have 2 clubhouses at this park and both were nice and decent activities at each one. The lower clubhouse had the pool and outdoor activities like basketball and pickleball, while the upper clubhouse had cards and games. This resort is very quiet and peaceful. There are 2 dog parks at this resort and numerous hiking trails as well. The only real drawback to this resort is they do not have onsite laundry facilities; you need to go into town about 5 miles to do your laundry. Not a huge deal but not as convenient as onsite laundry. We stayed in one of the lower sites and it had great camp side space with fairly large grassy areas but the service/hookup side was pretty tight. All in all, this was a great resort and I would recommend staying here. Please check out our full review on our YouTube Channel @Seeking70Degrees.

We arrived last week, the place was fairly easy to find, and the sections to the camp are pretty easy to understand. Took us a bit to find the tent sites but once we did we set it was time to set up. Of course we arrived later than we anticipated which meant it was dark at 4pm so we struggled getting the tents up. Wish there was some lighting other than the small lanterns and bulbs we had. The ground was pretty much dirt and gravel. Hammering the stakes in was a mission. We hit a rock every time haha of course I set up wifi after before confirming we were nowhere near the access point which is Section A55 T, so we had horrible connection. It was extremely cold in the evening but fairly warm during the day. Suggest if you brave the winter time that you bring the essentials like gloves, hand/body warmers, sleeping bags, pillows, extra blankets, Solar or battery operated heaters due to electricity going out if heaters are plugged in. They don’t have fire pits, bring a small one also! Plenty of lighting because it gets dark. They have quite a bit of activities for the family. Super clean showers and overall place. You’ll also wanna bring your own cooking appliances like gas grill, utensils, and coal if you wanna use the small grill they have. It’s a pretty decent place, recommend the thousand trails membership to go along with it. Thanks for a great time

As a member of Thousand Trails , this was the first time I had stayed here and will go back again. Although the pool area closes very early, and I was only able to use the hot tub one time because I was out enjoying Sedona, which is only 30 minutes away. The campsites in the back are closer together, and mostly for smaller rigs with the large sites on top of the ridge with plenty of space for any size rig, but you need to call ahead to book one of the larger sites and pay a premium for that. The 5 mph speed limit is absurd and the dog park in the back is decent size with trails all around.

The park is a mile from the main road so there is no road noise. Very quiet.
They converted an rv storage yard into the biggest fenced rv dog park you have ever seen. Very nice.
Radio controlled airplanes and car fans will love the land rc car track and the rc airport on the campground property.
The park has several nice trails and you can hike in the Verde river flood zone when it is dry.
Reasonable drive to Sedona for the day.

This was our second stay here, and this park went from "Meh..." to fabulous with a simple site upgrade. A regular 30AMP site is free with our TT membership, we learned last year that you need to book the newer, nicer 50AMP sites directly with the park. We did that this year and WOW what a difference. There is a nominal upgrade fee from $3-$10 a night depending on what section you are assigned. It's worth every penny. The newer sites are spacious, have spectacular views, and are oh so quiet. The lower sites, while adequate, offered none of that and some were not suitable for bigger rigs. There was also a little bit of cell coverage up in the newer area while it's non existent down below in the older 30AMP sites. Lots of activities for everyone here, amenities are in good shape and the walking trails are pretty awesome. The only thing that prevented me from rating this park at five stars is the fact that there is no laundry room.
Location is very peaceful, a mile off the highway with no road noise. A half hour to Sedona, a little less than an hour to Prescott, and plenty to see and do around the area. Would absolutely stay here again.

Above Average TT... for us. The upper new section looked really nice and would be worth the upcharge for the views alone. Our site was acceptable. Great base location for Montezumas Castle and Sedona day trips. Good location for stop between Flagstaff and Phoenix. Best self service RV wash we have encountered close by on 260.

- Water/electric/sewer hookups. We no issues with any of these.
- Easy check-in/out
- River is close by.
- Convenient location to Jerome, Cottonwood, Sedona, and all the historic sites in this area.
- Level sites
We really had no complaints. It was a pleasant stay.

C1 was on the end and close to the river, so that was a plus. After two nights we were able to upgrade and move up to the top section in M23. These are new sites with 50 amp, beautiful views, and good cell coverage. The cost upgrade is 750 a night. If we would’ve known we would’ve called ahead to reserve, do yourself a favor and make sure to do that. Entire park is very quiet and dark skies ordinance makes for some pretty nights.
