Vastwood Park Lake Boat Ramp

Camp Manager Crystal is very friendly and helpful. Most sites are slanted & grassy. I started out in the first site amongst the trees but a lot of people congregate there at the beginning of the trail, so I moved to less trees and grassy open area for my solar. The lake/ pond is very nice & peaceful. Many geese, frogs, etc. Grounds are well kept, beautiful, & bathrooms have hot showers, & clean. Staff are very kind. This is a county park so there's fishing, trails around the lake to walk, skate, bike, walk dogs, kayaks allowed, no motors on boats. Very peaceful & quiet during daytime, from 4pm -11pm a lot of walkers with dogs, kids walking & biking, peoplefishing, some are loud. No alcohol or tarps over tents, no drug or alcohol tolerance. All dogs must be on leashes. Lots of beautiful trees, there is pollen, bring allergy medications. Firepits & benches at sites, and swimming should be open in June if they can get life guards. I'm on my 7th day & with family. We will be staying another 7 days. We will be back again a few more times. There is tent camping $10. Day & rv camping $16 to $18.00 day with electric etc. Dump station. Great place all around. Apparently trees have eyes etc. Leave it cleaner than you found it!!! Camp on camping lovers, travvels & nomads.
