Vaseux Lake Provincial Park Campground

This campground consists of one stretch of road that runs between the highway and the lake. Of the 12 sites, 9 are directly on the water, with 3 beside the highway. Lake views are stunning and sites are close to water level. However, the adjacent Okanagan Highway 97 is a 80 km/hr zone and is heavy with loud traffic.

No water or electric at the sites but there is a water pump at the entrance with a sign saying the water is not potable, though this may be a temporary situation. Garbage and recycling are available plus there are pit toilets. No dump station.

Immediately north of the campground, the Vaseux Lake Bird Observatory has a large parking area, interpretive signage, short boardwalk trail and bird observation tower. Dogs are allowed on leash.

I did not stay here and would not due to the traffic noise which I found to be unacceptable. However if you don’t mind the traffic noise and can dry camp, the waterfront sites are super pretty.

Sorry I forgot to check my cell while here but I would expect there to be signal here being by the highway and exposed to the lake.
