We took our 38 ft 5er in just a little ways from the east entrance two times now with no problems. Planning on stopping in there next month.

I think OnlyDirtRoads has the right of it. Pick an entrance, east or west, and look to find a spot toward to the entrance. When we were there last year, we took a spot in from the west entrance and parked our 25' airstream. We drove the whole road in our 4wd truck. I would not have made it through with our trailer.

We took our 37’ bumper pull all the way through, but we scraped bottom a few times, doing minimal damage. We wouldn’t do it again. Recommend parking nearer either entrance

Totally! If you look at a map, VOG road is like an upside down “U”. Both sides of the U are very do-able with bigger rigs. The north end has a section that has some tight turns, and I’ve seen a few bigger trailers struggle to get through that. Many of the bigger sites are in the first couple of miles on either side.

We took our 38’ 5th wheel in. Didn’t go in too far, but we still enjoyed our stay.

We took our 40" class A pulling a 25" trailer. We didn't go too far in, but I think we were by chicken rock maybe. Enough that it was nice for a few days.

Do not try the west side! You'll encounter several narrow deep washes from this side. I was there a few weeks ago and saw several large RVs on the east side. There is a large wide wash right at the east entrance but it's no problem. I had the only trailer on the west side the week I was there. 22' Fifth wheel.

Yes. I took our 38' RV pulling a toad in, fantastic area. I loved the night skies there too, fantastic for astrophotography.
