Valley Garden Fishing Access Site

Wake up to the sound of the river rushing through. Quiet campground with 9 spots. Site 3 right along the river. We angled in our airstream so we could see the river and mountains. Campground has a boat launch, so there is some in and out of cars and boat trailers, but we did not find it bothersome at all. Came midweek, by Thursday river sites were full. In front of the campground, the river splits off and is nice and shallow for wading and cooling off. Beautiful here and with great cell reception.

Was directed here after scoping out another river access campground closer to town (which was very crowded and tight for our 32’ TT). Dirt road into campground with 9 open, easily accessible, and fairly level dirt/gravel/grass sites right on the river (except site #1) with some big enough for large rigs. Sites 1 and 2 are the most private. Toilet onsite. Each site has a table/fire pit. Very quiet location with some fishing traffic. Plenty of room when we arrived on a Monday mid-day.

Beautiful skies, birds, and 2 large Moose were grazing in our site the first morning then strolled through the river for all the other campers to see!! The river was refreshing on a warm day!

Price we paid is for non Montana resident without fishing license. See pic for other lesser fees. Great location for exploring Ennis and Historic Virginia City. We would have stayed longer but West Yellowstone was calling!
