The showers are in separate bathrooms that are like home. Very clean and the nicest shower I've had in a while. The wifi was good (were able to stream Netflix). Verizon cell was also good. Very convenient access to downtown and Safeway grocery store. The gravel is larger variety that doesn't stick to your feet as much as small gravel (like the Seward campground).

Loved all of that part but......We stayed here for three nights and were packed in like sardines! Everyone just cuts thru each site. Kids ride bikes and play at your front door. It was never actually quiet. This part is not for us. I know everyone gave it 5 stars but we went to Valdez Glacier park up the road and enjoyed that space so much more. Verizon good. Love Valdez!

This is a great location for parking your rig and getting out on your feet to explore Valdez! We did our laundry at the Tesoro across the street before we realized that we could have done it at the park itself (either way, it is convenient and nice to use!). The grocery store is also within easy walking distance as is the marina and all the rest of Valdez. We spent a couple of nights before taking the Marine Hwy. to Whittier. A couple of tips, the Dock Point Trail is a quick and easy walk from the campground. The Fat Mermaid restaurant is good and Mike's Palace has some of the best pizza we've ever had!

John helped me book our glacier and wildlife boat tour when it showed sold out online. The price per night in summer 2023 is $50 for full hookups. It’s very reasonable compared to prices we’ve paid in popular cities in AK.

Camp has 4 full bathrooms (2 off laundry room) like a house with large hot showers (free with no timer) very clean.
Laundry room has fairly new washers & dryers clean & work well. $3 each load of wash or dry. The room has table & chairs to wait, small library & microwave for customers.
Yes it is a gravel lot like most Alaska rv parks but no frost heaves😂
Staff were very friendly and helpful.
We will definitely stay here again if in the area!

Bayside follows the typical Alaska RV park of hookups on a gravel parking lot. We did have an end spot on the front row which allowed us a view of the mountain. For rigs with front windows the front row has the potential for good views. The staff was helpful and while the park was full, it didn't seem overly noisy. There isn't a ton of room between sites but they appeared to be able to easily accommodate the largest class As and fifth wheels.
They advertise all types of sites from full 50 and 30 down to dry tent camping. Coin laundry and free showers were available at the office. Wifi was not particularly fast and we had trouble even signing on during peak hours. Cable tv channel options were plentiful for an rv park.
