We stayed here in early August, so it was warm in Cortez with some afternoon "monsoon" storms. The park is easy in and out, but far enough off the highway to not be noisy. Some sites have shade. We stayed here in early August, so it was warm in Cortez with some afternoon "monsoon" storms. The park is easy in and out, but far enough off the highway to not be noisy. Some sites have shade. Surprisingly the casino next door was quiet. We didn't go to the casino but I understand they went 100% non-smoking while recovering from the pandemic. Utilities were all good. About 13 miles into Cortez for Walmart, City Market (Krogers), and assorted restaurants. The sites are fairly close together and not long enough to comfortably hold an extra vehicle, but we can't really expect that in an older park. Something peaceful about looking out at Sleeping Ute Mountain as well! Maybe not a park for a long term stay, but fine for anything up to a week. But if you are forwarding mail be sure to add a couple of days.....a priority mailer from our mail service in SD took 9 days to get to us!

We have a 42’ 5th wheel and we barely fit in the site with our truck. The WiFi was hit or miss. 5G was faster. The grass area was loaded either way dog poop. The pool and hot tub were not open.

We wanted to stay outside of Cortez and picked this spot. The staff appeared angry you were bothering them, you had to stay off the grass, take out your own trash, they had police driving by hourly and the wifi was almost non existent. It just felt angry there which is unfortunate because it looks cool.

I almost stayed at the truck stop right next door but the pavement wasn't even close to being level and I didn't feel like dealing with it so I ponied up and stayed here instead. I almost stayed at the truck stop right next door but the pavement wasn't even close to being level and I didn't feel like dealing with it so I ponied up and stayed here instead. Walked in with no reservation. No regrets, it was a nice place to spend the night and I probably got better sleep than sleeping next to a bunch of tractor trailers. It's pretty much what you would expect from an RV park. Amenities were nice and clean. Free wifi. Fenced in dog run. Walking distance to a casino if that's your thing.

Firstly it was quite, couple of trailers of folks that were staying for a wee while (Work), only a few out an inns a day. Was well kept and close to the casino. Water pressure was super high so would recommend a regulator.

Good Overnight Stop or Basecamp for Mesa Verde\Four Corners... typical casino RV park. Did not utilize cable hook-up but line-up looked impressive. Site was a little un-level and short. We were on the row closest to the casino and the sites looked larger farther back into the campground.

Arrival - Good communication and easy check in with plenty of space to park the rig.
Tips - None really.
Favorite - Easy access, travel center, and green grass. Good site for StarLink.
Negatives - Hellacious wind and dust blowing off the hills surrounding. BIG biting flies.

Getting in and out was easy. If after hours the casino hotel staff is very helpful. Bathrooms and showers were very nice and clean. You do need to get a key from the office for the showers. Security was good.

This is a well-maintained campground with good sized pull-through sites. Easy access from route 160/491 with good signage. Sites are pull-throughs with crushed stone, grass, and a picnic table. This is a well-maintained campground with good sized pull-through sites. Easy access from route 160/491 with good signage. Sites are pull-throughs with crushed stone, grass, and a picnic table. Crushed stone roads are wide and well maintained. There are trees for shade. Our site, 68, was level and all utilities worked as expected. WiFi was intermittent. Good T-mobile signal. There is a walkway to the Casino. The Travel center next door is convenient for fueling up. There are stickers in the grass so you need to be careful where you walk dogs, but we found no stickers in the fenced dog park. We would stay here again.

We were leaving Mesa verde NP and heading to gooseneck Stpk and needed water and a dump station. $6 Great clean pit stop to let the dog and kids stretch their legs.
