Convenient to shopping restaurants etc.

I chose this as I thought it was a steal at $4. When I got there it was $40! Oh well, I was tired and ready to be done for the night. Beautiful sunset, quiet (except for the small planes landing at the nearby airport), clean bathroom. Don’t know about the shower situation as I didn’t use it. Currently fires are allowed.

BUT..there are 2 showers for the whole place, one was not working and the other was disgusting. The drain had clumps of hair, the tiles were grimy and slippery, there were used bottles and tissues, and after complaining at the gate nothing was done.
So..if you don’t need a shower the place is heaven!

We were pleased to find a wheelchair accessible fishing platform. Locals were catching white bass. And, right outside the front gate is the accessible Provo river trail. The sign said closed ahead but I had a nice walk on the shady trail anyway. Accessible shower and toilet outside main loop. Yes, it was actually wheelchair accessible.

Sites were nicely spaced. Electric and water hookup only. Located walking distance to a marina and dock fishing allowed. Nice views. No road noise, some train and plane noise, although both minimal.

Bathrooms fairly clean; shower head is full stinging spray; no quarters needed!
Buggy @ marina; not so in campground
Great walking about
Electric/water hookups without problem; dump located @ entrance near shower house. Water vavle broke: continuously running in a drought but a busy camping weekend
Windy and cottonwood floating! Picnic table under small pavilion. Asphalt type pad. Grounds are dry and green weedy. Our dirt-dog lies on cool ground!
A basic state park with great walking areas. Kinda pricey but it fills the need after 4 nites of boondocking. East access from I-15 exit 265. Good cell reception for our Verizon phones.

We were here in September 2020 for a stopover to get chores done. Close by to Provo for laundry and groceries. It was mostly closed (COVID) while we were here but it looks like in other times It would be busy. Sites were nice and spacious and covered picnic table was a plus.

This would be my least favorite of all government (city, county, state, federal) at which we have stayed.
The “grass” area was mostly weeds. The staff mowed the grass/weeds every day for hours at a time. The mowing began at 10:00 a.m. each day and went until dark. The mowers would go over and over again the grass they already mowed. They kicked up dust also. Lots and lots of dust. Constant dust. They used over-sized, golf course sized lawn mowers.
The campground has litter all over. I picked up a grocery bag full of litter from our site when we arrived.
Much of the area seems to have been under construction at some time, but was abandoned. There are weedy dirt berms with chunks of broken concrete half buried. Some parts of the berms are fenced off with temporary cyclone fencing. Half of the fencing is standing, and half is knocked down. There are areas of the park where improvements seem to have begun, but were abandoned long ago, with dirt piles and rocks left as they were.
There was a stench that pervaded the campground. It was so horrendous that it woke me up during the night.
This is a campground fit for the Munsters.
