We stayed here this last weekend and overall enjoyed our stay. Sites are close together, but access to Seal Rock and Newport are great and fit the our needs for the weekend. My only complaint is that the wifi did not work well at all. I was...
We stopped to get gas, propane, and dump. After we saw the price of gas we choose to move on. Gas was approx 50% more than the gas station just a few miles down the road. Dump was $10.
We would not stop here again.
Dump is very clean and has water to flush / clean-up with. There is no potable water though.
Very easy in and out. Dump is on the right side (South side) of the road as you drive in. Would certainly stop here again.
This gas station was very easy to pull in and out of. There is also a dump station with potable water. That was also easy in and out too.
Dump station is located at gas pump 26. It’s a big lot, but while dumping traffic could get blocked. It seemed like a bit of an odd set-up to us.
Dump is free, restrooms clean. Lots of options if you’re hungry.
This place was pretty cool for us. The whole place was pretty level. There was a fair amount dump truck traffic through there but we got used to it. We were parked as far away from the road as possible so it wasn't too bad. It is an easy...
First off, there are about 3 sites that are double sites that I think can fit up to 28' travel trailers with tow vehicle. We stayed in site 7 which is on a corner so a little harder to pull into if you had a longer vehicle but it was a great...
High rating because - This place looked awesome for a campground and we really wanted to stay there, but it didn't work out for us.
Reality - We ran drove through the first 5-6 sites before the drop off into the creek which our 24' bumper...
This was our first trip here. We enjoyed the campground, the hosts were very nice too. Spots are very close to each other, I would only stay if we could have a spot close to the water. The back spots do have hookups, but no view.
Overall we enjoyed the campground, it was very clean, hook-ups worked great, and there was lots of exploring to do within walking distance of our site, from beach exploring to checking out all of the old batteries and history of Fort...
"Great gas, dump, and water spot"
"Great spot for visiting Carlsbad and Guadelupe Mountain National Parks"
"I wouldn't recommend a trailer length above 20'"
