We arrived on a Saturday in mid August. The park was advertised as full but it was very quiet…almost spooky. The spots are well spaced with nice grass between them. Lots of long termers but not in sight. The staff was super friendly and...

Not very many good large campsites after the first two big open spaces. We found a spot about a mile in for our 28 foot travel trailer, but most of the sites are small (and we scouted a lot). On the positive side, the road is good and there is...

Not Shell anymore, now is Marathon. Dump station is next to the car wash. Dump is free, has water. Seems to be the only one in town. Employees were helpful. Very clean, a little tricky to get into.
RV lanes are closed on March 15, 2022. Looks like they are doing repairs and construction. Don’t drive past the station, you’ll have to back up to turn around. Marathon Station (used to be Shell) has a good dump.

Everything as said in other reviews. Plenty of nice non beach spots at 2 pm Saturday afternoon. Seems quiet. Civilized boondocking. Good road, found a nice place for our 27’ trailer with no problem.

Made a reservation on Recreation.gov for our 27’ travel trailer. If they say it’s ok you can do it, right? Wrong. The campground loop is very narrow with rocks, potholes, and large trees that hang low. Got through with minimal damage but it...
