This spot is a little off the beaten path but I think that's probably what makes it so great! There was only one other rig out here so it was very peaceful! There is a hiking trail that runs through here so there is probably more day traffic...
This was such a great find for a place to stop while passing through ND! I would've loved to stay a couple of days and explore the lake and enjoy the beauty of the area! Unfortunately, it was very rainy while I was passing through so I didn't get...
This was a great spot to stop in for an overnight while traveling through Montana. It's just a few miles from I94. It's located right by the train tracks (so yes, train noise) and also right along the Yellowstone River.
Pretty and lots of trees...
Beautiful campground and friendly host! This was super easy to get to off the highway (of course that means there was a little highway noise, but that didn't bother me). Full hookups, laundry, showers, camp store, pool, pond with paddle boats,...
I landed here after scoping out the Cliff Point campground and finding the sites tiny and all taken for the weekend. The road in off of Hwy 287 is rough and wash-boarded but if you go slow it's doable.
There are 3 campsites tucked back here at...
This place was full on Friday afternoon in August! Drove around all the sites and even tried to go up into the dispersed camping area before settling at site #1 for the first night. Site 1 doesn't have the best views or privacy and you are right...
Came to recharge my batteries and fill/dump my tanks. The sites are nicely spaced out so it doesn't feel too crowded. Full hookups with tables and fire rings. They also sell propane here. The Tetons make for a beautiful backdrop!
Right off the...

I drove in about 2.6 miles to a spot off on the left. The spots before this one were all taken but this spot turned out to be beautiful! It was a nice hike to the very top of the hill where the tower is and a beautiful panoramic view. The bugs...
A beautiful backdrop to enjoy as you do your business! Free to dump but there is a donation box. Has room for 2 rigs to dump at the same time and there are a couple of water filling stations.
This isn't a large or spaced out campground but it is super convenient for seeing the park and getting the most out of your Craters experience. It is a short walk from the visitor's center and I highly recommend watching their 15 minute video...
