"Quiet area, good roads"

The string of BLM areas along HWY 62 west of Parker, AZ are all basically the same. Good roads, hard camping surfaces. Had high winds on a few of the days, but dust was not a problem. Good hikes all around from road. Many flat spaces for privacy... Read more

"Very quiet spot, very restful."

Higher altitude spot. Visited for 5 days in early November. Cool nights this time of year, possible freezing. Quiet and restful. Pacific Crest Trail intersects the area.

Magnificent views of Organ Mountains and valley of Las Cruces. Freshly graveled roads. 3 turnout sites and one large site at end of road. Very Quiet. 10 minutes to Las Cruces. Cable fence to keep cattle out, only saw 4 cattle in 5 days, and not... Read more
