"Still Great!"

9 sites total, no camp hosts, 7 sites are $10 and 2 double sites are $20. 3 day limit. Closed for the season after Sept 30. Pit toilet. Great cell service on the big 3 providers. So wonderful to have a bike path to Sun Valley right outside.

"Still Open, Still Free"

Still open, still free, potable water. Flush water at dump is not threaded. Saturday’s farmers market makes getting in here a little nutty

"Avoid Coming From The South If Over 3 Tons"

The bridge south of the campground was recently inspected and has issues. Changed to only allow 3 tons. Still accessible from the north.

"Basic, No Frills Park"

We needed electricity on a hot day while passing through. Good for a one or two day stay or a long term stay (many long term residents). It’s clean, reasonably priced (cheaper than the nearby county parks). $52 for FHU and $27 for 3 dry camp... Read more

"Great Location, Clean, Popular"

This place opens reservations 60 days in advance and they book up fast in the summer. Great walking along the creek to town or up the canyon. Some road noise from hwy 93. Bathrooms and laundry are super clean. Dump station available. Not all spots... Read more

"Great city camping"

If you want to camp right in the city of Tucson, this is the place. Small, tidy, full hookups, easy access park. If you want to be near Tucson but not in the city, try Gilbert Rey or Catalina State Park but expect to drive a lot to get anywhere... Read more

"Remote and not your usual Arizona"

We spent the Christmas holidays here for two weeks. It was a great place to really slow down. We didn't have any of the noise problems that others wrote about. It was pretty quiet during our stay. Higher elevation makes it feel a lot different... Read more

"Beautiful bend of the river. Park tucked off road behind mountain"

Much prettier than the two other nearby state parks - Cattail and River Island. Because it's on a bend in the river, you feel a little surrounded by the Colorado. Beautiful cliffs on one side (but also views of two RV parks on the CA side). No... Read more

"55+ resort has all amenities but a little tired"

This resort was not 55+ when we booked but it became one as of 10/1/22. Older community and amenities are getting a little tired but it's clean and there were no junky looking sites. Homeowners take pride in their place. Decent price for full... Read more
