Was a good place to tent camp, right on a once beautiful Whiskeytown Lake. The area was completely destroyed by the Carr Fire in July 2018. Hoping is reopens soon. Not much left for shade. Sad.

This is the pg&e campground right across the road from the lake. $18/night as of 1/2019. A few nice back in sites on the creek. Vault toilets were clean and stocked. Camp host was friendly. Good walks and photography at the lake.
