"County Park near Lake Solano and the town of Winters"

With our senior discount, dog fee, and registration fee, no hookups, we paid $24. Hook-up sites are available. Some sites, right on the lake are an additional $10 premium fee. With our T-mobile coverage, we had no cell at all. However, with our... Read more

"Well maintained campground, spacious sites"

This was our first visit here and our first visit to an Army Corps of Engineers Campground. We decided to get a spot with full hook-ups, EWS. The cost per night was $30, but with the senior access pass, it was $15. We didn't use the... Read more

"Dispersed camping near hot springs"

This seems to be a fairly popular camping area because of the nearby natural hotsprings (about .2 miles away. Dispersed camping. We were able to find a fairly level spot with our rig but larger rigs would find it challenging.

"Lake view, easy access from Hwy 396. Good overnight stop if you don't need amenities."

We camped here 1 night but we were disappointed that all the water had been turned off during the winter season. The dump station was also not available. However, there were pit toilets and trash/recycling bins. You can easily see the lake and Hwy... Read more

"Easy access from Hwy 395. Cool geology."

We stayed here once before years ago and we were eager to try it again. Lots of interesting geology and hikes. Basic campground with a few pit toilets (scattered far apart.) Fire ring and picnic table. No shade; no water available that we could see.

"Decent campground."

When we arrived, the campground was practically deserted. Probably a combination of Covid, off-season, and low lake levels. At our campsite we had a wonderful view of the lake. Many paved spaces. There were pit toilets and water nearby. Amazing... Read more

"Spacious free sites, easy access- but with trash."

Free dispersed camping near Sedona, AZ. No services (pack out your trash, no toilet facilities, no water.) Roads are well-maintained, easy for larger vehicles to navigate. Beautiful, shaded area. Unfortunately, at the time of our visit, there was... Read more

"Beautiful, remote area- but not for larger vehicles."

Rough road to get to this site, could be quite muddy in the rain. Our 25 ft Winnebago View was able to (barely) manage the road. Should be fine for class Bs or tent campers. No facilities or amenities. The only reason I wouldn't camp here again... Read more

"Good place to overnight if you need water, electricity, and a dump station"

This "campground" is basically a large parking lot at a 4H event center. No picnic tables or fire rings. Good place to stop if you need water, electricity, and a dump station. This event center apparently has many equestrian events, so if you love... Read more

"Boondocking along Rt 66"

Lots of room for campers here. Just a word of caution though.... While negotiating a turn onto the BLM land, we got stuck in sand (milepost 7.) Fortunately we were able to get out. We camped a bit further down the road. The nearby road sign said... Read more
