This spot is often used by road construction crews to store construction barriers and heavy machinery. I recently dropped by (nov ‘22), there’s room to setup camp but it’s a little junky. Hopefully it’ll be cleared up by spring.

I stop here often to stretch my legs, use the restrooms, and sometimes take a nap. It’s got plenty of picnic tables, and big solid out houses. They shut the gate at 9pm, as there is no overnight camping allowed. It’s a spot to break up your drive... Read more
