"Much better than expected"

We stayed here visiting friends in Boston. The campground is lovely and wooded. While there isn't as much space and privacy as with a State or Provincial Park, the sites are nicely spaced and the many pines give the feeling of camping in a forest.... Read more

"Beautiful State Park, some issues with the sites"

We stayed at Sampson State Park for one night on our way from Boston to Toronto. The Park is huge, with a museum on site, and well kept. The welcome was somewhat cool and rushed as reception closed at 6:00 pm - it was in mid-October, so... Read more

"Not the prettiest park, but extremely well kept. "

We visited Schodack State Park on a trip from Boston back home to Toronto, staying for one night. Staff welcoming us were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Firewood is delivered to your campsite for $5.00 and is sourced from the park itself.... Read more

"Clean and quiet municipal campground in a small town"

We stayed at Craigleith Provincial Park during the May long weekend. While the park is close to the Highway, we didn't hear any traffic from our site. We had an on-the-water site, our soundtrack was the gentle lapping of waves. Lovely to sleep to.... Read more

"An often overlooked gem"

Selkirk has a reputation for being dowdy. There's no sandy beach to speak of, and because it started life as a private park, it doesn't look and feel like most other Provincial Parks. Having said that, we adore Selkirk for both early spring... Read more

"Relaxed forest camping"

The sites in Port Burwell are all set within a fairly dense forest. On the plus side, this makes for very private camping, but it also means that the sites don't get all that much sunlight. Access roads can be narrow, we just (and only just) made... Read more

"Beautiful Provincial Park campground on the Long Point Peninsula "

We stay at Long Point at least once a year - it's our favourite summer holiday spot. The Park is nestled amongst the dunes on the Long Point Peninsula on the northern shore of Lake Erie. The park is extremely popular with families, many of which... Read more
