Four stars for easy access. Not bad. I didn’t go very far in as we’re only staying one night. A little crowded for my liking if we were gonna stay multiple nights. But it was easy to find a spot for a rig if any size and the road isn’t bad.... Read more

I also heard the shooting the last review was talking about but only on one of the seven days I was here. The road is bumpy but doable going slow. The rain actually smoothed it out some while we were here. Plenty of distance between campers.

Felt safe and it was quiet. Nice star gazing. Carlsbad caverns was amazing. Guadalupe Mountains was fun too. Living desert and garden state park isn’t to far and worth the drive.

Stayed in the fcfs area some spots would be hard for big rigs but a small rig or van could fit in any spot. Nice campground and nice trails.
