I have actually stayed the night on several occasions and It is surprisingly quiet for being next to busy I-10. The facilities are adequate. Restrooms are reasonably clean.

Just off I-8 and about a mile down a road. Large flat pads on packed rock. Excellent T-Mobile reception.

"Sonoran Desert National Monument"

I did not venture to far down the road. Stayed the night on 2 occasions near the freeway. Enjoyed my short visits but would stay for extended time. Isolated area. 25 miles to Gila Bend and 35 to Casa Grande. Excellent cell service on T-Mobile.

"Good spot to pull off for the night"

Open dispersed camping next to freeway. I understand you can drive a little farther up Vekol and find more spots. The T-Mobile connection was fast. This area is known as a smuggler route but I don’t think there is any danger.
