We picked a back-in water front site and were rewarded with a couple of days with beautiful sunset colors. The other five days were cloudy, overcast, or rainy. That is to be expected this time of the year. I liked the location with the only draw...
This is the third time we have stayed here for an overnight. The check in has been moved back to the original office (no longer at the gas station). It appears they have some new staff members because our check in was quite tangled up this time...
We spent a rainy north western fall here at Cape Kiwanda, and loved every day of it.
They have bunnies which our 9 month old Akita loved.
There are a few eating establishments very close by.
I loved the stay and hope to return one day.
Arrived at 6pm, office was closed but our reservation was on the board. Went to our assigned site 21, located near the dump station. I slept well but my wife was not so lucky due to the many trains which passed in the night.
We did an overnight here and I loved it. I believe there are 6 pull thru sites with power and water. If you need to you can hit the dump station before you leave. If ever in the area I would definitely stay again.
Did an overnight, it was perfect for us. Nice clean place. Did a pull thru so as not to unhook for the night.
Apparently we arrived after a wind storm had blown through. The guys had a lot of work ahead of them. It was hot during our stay we were happy the whole place is full of mature trees to help block the sun. Our AC can barely keep up when it gets...
Nice quiet campground, most people seem to only spend one night. We stayed four nights and drove to Bannack Ghost town, and drove on several scenic roads in the area.
Had a nice stay an I would stay again.
Since our last visit they have paved the campground and my wife liked it a lot more than when it was dirt. I must admit we had rain for 2 of our 4 nights we stayed and it was nice to not track mud everywhere.
Cell service was terrible while we...
Stayed 6 nights in spot 20. The water pump is right next door. The nights are cool even in August. The sun will run you out of your trailer by 11 during the day.
If you can stay in the park this is the next best thing. We drove through the park...
