"Beautiful, quiet, nice place"

Favorite place we have stayed on our latest road trip. Close to Santa Fe, Albuquerque, Tent Rocks NM, and lots of other stuff. We had electricity and water, but none of the sites have sewer. Great views and will be back.

"Busy, noisy, boring"

Looked like a nice, quiet, lakeside campground on paper, but on reality, it wasn’t. I have a season Colorado state park pass, but if you don’t, it’ll cost you $32 for camping, plus the $9 entry fee. No seeer or water, only electricity. No... Read more

"Nice and hot!"

Nice campground. We stayed in the Stallion Campground. We had a huge campsite, very clean, and quiet. There are walking paths all over, lined with rocks. Beautiful cactus plants of many types. Clean showers.

"Urban camping"

Stayed here to be close to hiking and biking. Right off the freeway, but noise wasn’t too bad. Very clean. The only problem I have with Colorado state parks is the cost. $28 for campsite $8 for state park fee Plus $1 if you want a 4 minute... Read more

"Needs some care"

Beautiful area. The campground host was great. Very informative. The ranger at the visitor center was really nice and knowledgeable, too. The cons: older campground that needs some TLC. Sites are very close to each other. This makes it a bit... Read more

"Great overnight spot. "

Just off the freeway and your ears will remind you of that. Nice big sites. Super dog-friendly. Trees everywhere and you can walk down to the Snake River. It’s part of a gas station/truck stop, so it’s kind of loud and busy. If you need to stop... Read more

"Love this place"

One of my favorite places to stay at! It’s off the beaten path, but if you like quietness, starry skies, rock climbing, or hiking- this is the place. Super clean, nice showers and bathrooms. The scenery is wonderful. Cell on AT&T was good. I... Read more

Next to the highway, but it wasn’t too noisy or busy with traffic. Bi spots and the owner was super cool. He could tell I want an experienced RVer, and guided me into my spot, by telling me which way to turn my wheels and when to stop. Easiest... Read more

"Quiet, clean, wonderful"

We stayed on the lower loop, above the river. Very quiet, but I think the upper loop would be much noisier, because it is next to the highway. Being there off season was nice. Nice pull through and clean sites. If you need cell service or antenna... Read more

"City location KOA"

Super friendly staff and very clean KOA. If you need to be near downtown Grand Junction, this is a good place to stay. They have a putt putt golf. They were always cleaning and maintaining, while we were there. The only issues we had were the fire... Read more
