This is a pretty area and at different times of year is probably a 5 star stop. For us, the red tide seemed to have killed off fish and there were dead fish all over the campground so we mostly stayed in the RV avoiding it and the smell.
The...

A lot of parking spots. Quiet. Only very minor road noise. Nice and dark too. Great stopover and much better than trying a truck spot on an overcrowded rest stop that technically only allows 3 hrs.

We pulled in about 8pm and we’re the only RV. By morning there were several others but we hadn’t heard them come in.
A huge win of this location is the trucks are directed away from the RV parking so you don’t have to hear the trucks all night....

Just a stop for lunch but would stay the night if needed. Nice diagonal spots, level and paved. Some road noise from I-10 but much better than others.
It also has a car pull behind that is even further from the freeway

Parking is parallel (no diagonal spots) on the access road so it makes for a noisy night with trucks/cars driving through and I-10...

Off the freeway turn left and left. There are some dark signs where to pull in on a dirt parking lot. We were the only RV there with a few semis. We didn’t have any traffic come between midnight and 7am.
There is the train, but it didn’t bother...

We had just finished at the Cadillac Ranch and were done driving so this made a safe and welcome overnight stay. We asked the clerk and they said we were fine to spend the night. We stayed in June 2022 and woke up to fog and 60°F temperatures.
Nightly Rate: $20.00
$20 for electric hookups. Quiet night. Parking lot has a dump station. Very good night stop over given nearly 100F temperatures and our desire for AC.
5 stars for low cost with power although we wouldn't spend more than a stopover here.
