"Good Campground, But Bring Leveling Blocks!"

When it is 108 degrees at home, it will be pleasant here. Odd campsites in general, few (if any) have level pads. The tenters don’t have it much better. Some sites are downright odd: avoid site 16! Ideal for tenters, camper vans, teardrops and... Read more

"Fine For Enroute "

Nice campground, all things considered. It’s on a hill, many of the pads are not level, so you WILL be using your leveler blocks. Good restrooms, clean park overall. No host. However, this campground is too close to 395 to qualify as a quiet... Read more

"Very nice, but very, very loud…"

There is some sort of important Interstate highway adjacent to this RV park. Adjacent? It’s as though you’re parked on the shoulder of it, with trucks whizzing by all night. Earplugs recommended. Other than that, it is wonderful. Personally, I... Read more

"The best campground in BC"

This glorious RV park is tiny, wooded, charming and eclectic. It is also quite remote. From Vancouver, it takes two ferries to get there, not counting a twisty-windy road. However, it is very worth seeking out, just not for a day or two. Book... Read more

"Crowded Family camping with swimmable lake"

This is the sort of place where multi-generational families come every year with the grandchildren. Kids seem to be having a swell time. The sites are VERY close together, but overall it is quiet, probably due to the 10:00 pm quiet rule (which... Read more

"We were adjacent to a loud, all-night party."

This campground has a beautiful location and is recommended. If you’re unlucky like we were, you will camp next to a bunch of idiots who drink and yell all night long. They partied until 4:00 am. When we arrived, there were vehicles blocking... Read more

"An ideal campground"

I camp here, midweek, every June. Unless you’re right up near a holiday, it is never full. Relatively quiet except for the adjoining gravel road which has maybe two cars an hour. Graded gravel road to get here and that keeps the idiots out.... Read more

"Good campground with handy store nearby"

Hallsted is, of course, in the Feather River Canyon in Twain. Much of the canyon burned recently and, because of that, people are staying away in droves. Hallsted was untouched. Go there! A few years back, the Union Pacific Railroad committed a... Read more
