"Typical SF Camping, Busy"

Typical state forest campground, $20/night will get you a picnic table and a fire ring with a nearby pit toilet. Actually split into two campgrounds the lake side fills pretty quickly and the loop gets pretty full on the weekends in the summer... Read more

"Peaceful, with river and trail access."

Arrived on a Friday evening in mid July to find only one other camper at this lightly used state forest campground. Picnic tables, fire rings, and a pit toilet are the only amenities. Mostly used by hikers using the adjoining trailhead, or tubers... Read more

"Busy but quiet, lake access"

Typical state forest campground with picnic tables and fire ring, pit toilet, water hand pump. All sites are along the lake, most (all?) are on a small bluff above the lake with stairs or trail down to the shore. Arrived on a Saturday in July to... Read more

"Busy but pleasant "

Stayed over a nice weekend in June. As expected it was almost full up but not overly loud. Around 12ish sites, half with a lake view, the rest inland. Standard picnic table, lantern hook and steel fire pit with adjustable cooking grate. Bigger... Read more

"Beautiful location, surprisingly noisy"

Nice little state forest campground right on the shores of Lake Superior. Each site backs up to the beach with only a 50yd walk to the water. The only problem is how surprisingly busy the road is that parallels the campground. County 58 takes a... Read more

"Great overnight "

Typical casino overnight parking, quieter than many I’ve stayed at. Several other rigs here but not on top of each other. Tucked in with everybody else in the back of area ‘F’.

"Quick overnight in their parking lot "

After watching the sunset over traverse bay I needed a place to park for the night, this place is perfect. Lots of other RV’s, well lit, huge lot, mostly quiet, some road noise. - there’s also a Meijer a mile west that’s just as nice, maybe quieter.
