If you are just passing through and need a place to stay for a night or a week, this is a great spot. It has all the usual amenities, i.e. showers, toilets, fresh water, & dump station. Plus it has a huge shore line open to primitive camping. ... Read more

Park is ok for day use. Too noisy for peaceful camping. Campsites are on a ridge with direct earshot of the highway, the freight trains, and fire station. Electric sites are nice. Basic sites are mostly steep and uneven.

Its off season so we had the place to ourselves. Good trails - recommend hikit the River Trail and the Bluff trail together.
