"Very nice Forest Service campground"

We were in the south loop with electricity. The site was very large right on the river. The only water available was close to the trash disposal area so you need to fill up the fresh tank when you arrive. The campground hosts were very active and... Read more

"Not Good!"

We booked a side here 5 months in advance. We were very disappointed to be assigned this site. Gravel surface that was not level. Other sites had concrete pads. The electric pedestal was on the wrong side of the site. The sewer connection was... Read more

"Easy check-in, close sites, Clean restrooms"

Just a few miles off I29, most sites are pull-thru and the restrooms are very clean. Fit the requirements for a one-night stop very well. No complaints at all.

"Good place to spend the night"

Most sites are pull-thru, but the water and electric are set up so that the pedestal is shared between sites. No big deal but I did not know until I pulled in and had to turn around. This setup design made for more space for the facing units. ... Read more

"Well maintained and a good choice close to Buena Vista"

The campsite was perfect for a short stay. No litter and the vault toilet was well kept. Was fun exploring the creek.

"Stopped by for a look"

While visiting my son at Fort Carson we stopped in at this park to check it out. Was amazed at the size of most of the sites and the space between them. Most had concrete pads like some higher end commercial properties and the facilities look... Read more

"Great Halloween Party!"

If you happen to be an introvert, as some may say I am, Cuivre River SP is not the place for you to camp in mid to late October. The campgrounds transform from the usual campfires and kids on bikes to elaborately decorated campsites full of... Read more

"Well maintained, Large sites"

We arrived mid week to a mostly empty campground. All sites were in trees but with enough to room to handle units much larger than ours, a 21 ft TT. We were lucky to be able to keep the site over the weekend because there was a late cancelation. ... Read more

"Nice Lake, Well maintained sites"

Another well maintained state facility. Our campsite was in the eastern section. The spaces were large and had a lot of space and trees. Nice grass in common area for kid play. Just off the same I-90 exit is the Porter Sculpture Park. A very... Read more
