This was a great alternative since Valley of Fire sites were full by 3pm on a Thursday. We turned left on the last dirt road before entering park property and drove past 6 or 7 others camped along the road before taking a fork to the right and... Read more

"ok for $0"

No sites available in Valley of Fire, so this was a nearby alternative. We pulled in to Stewart's point around 3:30 on a Friday afternoon and most of the better (flatter, closer to the water) spots were all taken. There was lots of space to park... Read more

"Only if you are desperate"

This park is a dump! Filthy sites and trash everywhere! Few of these closely packed sites had shade and mine clearly had black tank emptied all over the grass by the very short parking pad. Walking anywhere on the scrubby lawn in other places... Read more

"Surprisingly quiet"

This isn't a destination campround but a very convenient stop while traveling. Surprisingly quiet for a campground so near a city and highway 5. Sites are clean, shaded with large mature trees, and nicely spaced. The amount of time and warm water... Read more

"Great stopover, not a destination "

This is a convenient stop over right off the freeway. Welcoming hosts, clean restrooms, hot showers, you don't have to pay extra for. Large, level sites, no privacy. Well maintained. Nice trail to walk/bike by the Williams river and Spring... Read more

"Well Maintained Park very close to Freeway"

This park seems to be very well maintained. The trails, restrooms, showers, sites, were clean/well groomed. Rangers were friendly and accommodating. We had an abundance of ripe blackberries growing in our site. It was a bit of a trek to the beach... Read more

"Forest Fairies must live here"

What a surprise to pass through so much agricultural land and golden hills with oaks and suddenly be in a rain forest! This park has a lot going on in it. The weekend was PACKED with day use folks picnicing and playing in the creek and on the... Read more

"Verdant but neglected"

This USFS campground is close to several Oregon coast parks and attractions but doesn't a lot more going for it. LOTS of trash in sites and on dunes trail. Flush toilets that should have been clean since I used it right after the park employee... Read more

"Quiet wooded camping near lake"

Of the 4 campgrounds at Eagle Lake in Lassen NF, Christie is the farthest from the marina. We were here in mid July, on a Friday with no reservations and there were around half the sites still available. No hookups. We swam in the lake. It was... Read more
