Forest road 247 is across the street from FR205. About a half mile in there is a large open field with multiple places to camp. The road is in excellent condition, very flat. Entering 247 from the paved road is tricky but doable with any vehicle... Read more

Tent camped for 3 nights midweek during the 2nd week of May 2022. Perhaps a half dozen other campers in the area but spaced very far apart. Absolutely beautiful and expansive views. Could see Mt Charleston in the distance. Sunsets were striking.... Read more
