"Nice park"

This is the first place where our site was all grass. It might be a problem if there had been a lot of rain, but that certainly isn't a problem these days. The lake is low and the drought continues unabated. The park is clean, well-maintained... Read more

"Another excellent Colorado Park"

Large concrete pad, full hookups. Easy access. Longmont is just a few miles away for anything you need. Colorado State Parks are the best. The only ding is the noise from nearby I-25, but it's certainly not a deal-breaker.

"A Memorable Stay"

This is why you travel in an RV. The lots here are within a few hundred feet of the Admiralty Inlet - the main transition waters between the Pacific Ocean and Puget Sound. You can hear the surf crashing at night, and the seagulls and ravens by... Read more

"Big quiet pull-throughs by the lake"

West side of the Central (C) loop has huge pull-through sites with electric and water. Water is not shared on these sites. Large, level, concrete pads with a table and fire ring. While these sites show as accessible. we were here mid-November, and... Read more

"Friendly, quiet, park"

RV parks are few and far between between the Olympic Peninsula and Bainbridge Island. I needed a short stay for business in Seattle, and wanted to be close to the ferry at Bainbridge. Eagle Tree is a short bus ride from the ferries, and was eager... Read more

"Gem of a Park in the Gem State"

We booked our stay at Ambassador as we worked our way from Arizona to the Pacific Northwest. It was one of the nicest stops we've had in a while - friendly staff and entry escort to our site, making sure our steps lined up over the concrete pad -... Read more

"Nice enough, but really tight"

This is a pretty nice stay-over spot, and up to KOA quality standards, but this is the tightest spot we've ever stayed in. Check-in was fast and easy, the staff was friendly, and directions to our site were clear and easy to follow. Once parked... Read more

"A quiet place to rest up"

We travel easy most of the time, and often invoke the 222 rule - two hundred miles, arrive by two in the afternoon, stay two nights. The 222 brought us to Green River, Utah this time, and we decided to try Shady Acres. Check-in was fast and... Read more

"Basic, but comfortable"

Coronado Campground is owned by the City of Bernalillo, New Mexico, and abuts the Coronado Historic Site (you should go there). The park is mostly pull-throughs, and there are some 50A sites, but ours was 30A. Not an issue, as the weather was... Read more

Tug's Journal: Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park

After three and a half months at Mancos State Park, we finally had to maneuver the rig out of our comfy, tree-shaded spot and head south. Maneuver isn't the right word. Trailer tango works better. Fir...
