"Lousy campground in a great location"

This campground is now for sale and the amenities and staff seem to reflect the focus on milking it for all they can get. Showers are $5. There is 1 working washer and dryer. Wifi doesn't work at site 13 -- it is way up by the 50 amp service... Read more

"Beautiful, peaceful spot, far from civilization"

There are three campgrounds in Big Bend: Rio Grande Village, Chisos Basin, and Cottonwood. Rio Grande is like a commercial campground, with full hookups, showers and a store. It and Cottonwood are closer to the river, so they are much warmer.... Read more
