"Masks!"

Typical Cracker Barrel parking. We are 56’ long total so we always have to find a vacant section along the edge of the parking lot somewhere. I-40 is right there so there is traffic noise. We went in to eat but they were requiring masks so we... Read more

"Adequate "

We’ve never had a bad experience at a Cracker Barrel. We are 56’ long total so the only place that really worked for us was behind. Non RVs were parked in the rv spots when we got there. Garbage truck woke us up early morning as the 3... Read more

"Black Squirrels"

There are about 6 “sites”. Look for the power posts that typically have an outlet on each side. You could probably have 3 larger rigs with 3 smaller rigs. Wonderful free park walking distance to restaurants and shops. Black Squirrel City is... Read more

"Train Horns and First night free. "

Large relatively flat grass lot between baseball fields, aquatic park and train tracks. In our opinion it’s not worth $20 a night maybe $10. That’s why we only stayed 2. There is a dump station.

"Quiet nights and noisy days. "

As full timers we stopped here for the last week of the month and didn’t spend a penny. We needed the rest and also needed to edit video. This place is easy to miss so driving south on 97 start slowing down and looking left. There is no sign on... Read more

"Quiet"

Just north of I70 at Williamsburg. From Williamsburg you have about 3 miles of dusty gravel. We drove right to the pin above. The pit toilet is there. That is mainly a tent area. The RV area is down the road to the right of the toilet. We had a 35... Read more

"Only use if your desperate to dump. "

The dump stands over a foot high and is behind a curb so definitely a 2 person job and you still won’t get completely empty. No potable water and they get you for $10 for your trouble.

"Tugboat watching. "

Beautiful spot just 30 feet from river. Really enjoyed watching the tugs and huge barges. Second week of September so it was humid and buggy but we still enjoyed. There is 2 miles of narrow gravel road. We didn’t have a problem. The campground... Read more

"Comfortable "

Most of the sites in the electric area would be hard to define at night so we recommend getting there in daylight. They don’t always have the sites that are reserved marked immediately. We had to move the next morning when the ranger stopped by... Read more

"No shade!"

I think we picked the only site with almost no shade and the temp was hitting 90 and humid in mid August which wasn’t surprising. Great campground right on the Mississippi so we could watch the boats and barges go through lock 14 right across on... Read more
