"Pleasant Adventure in Land O Lakes"

Overall, I had a very positive experience at the primitive campground. Pros... The primitive area has 2 sites, each with picnic tables and fire rings. There's also an roofed group area with a grill. The grounds are well maintained and... Read more

"Peaceful and Good Value"

This is a terrific campground. I stayed in an undeveloped tent site. Bathrooms were close by, security patrols, tons of wildlife, warm (not actually hot) showers. The WiFi is spotty unless you are near n of the buildings, inexpensive laundry... Read more

"Secluded Beauty"

This primitive is absolutely gorgeous. The sunrise on the water each morning is breathtaking. There are fire rings, cooking grills and a close parking lot. It's very quiet here. I'm the only one two nights running. Peaceful.

"Primitive Camping Near Gettysburg "

This state forest is just outside historic Gettysburg. The sites are very primitive. Some have stone firepits, some not. Parking was uneven and zero cell service. It's cool for hunters or a rustic experience. I'm a writer, so wifi is kind of... Read more

"Foot Of A Massive Dam!"

I arrived at this site to find hundreds of people. Apparently, it ranks among the most popular white water rafting locations in the country. When the Summersville Dam does a big release, its a huge party. People were fun, respectful and good... Read more
