"Place to overnight in winter"

Really no other place to camp in the area for winter so we were thankful they were open. Just stayed one night passing through. Restrooms were...in need of some love. Well stocked store on site.

It was WINDY the night we stayed. Nice sites. Quiet. Ranger was very helpful and delivered firewood to us. We were just passing thru so location near I-25 worked well as I could not imagine staying more than a night or 2 here...

"2nd guessed our decision to stay here but ended up happy."

We don’t like sand but this sand was more dense than usual. We were in the beach but didn’t didn’t camp right on the water. No problems with soft sand. WINDY. Views beautiful and the light in the evening was striking.
