"Scenic, With Drawbacks"

I’ll say that in early November, with mountains, meadows and golden cottonwoods along the Rio Grande, flocks of sand hill cranes overhead in the morning… this is a pretty campground. Great value for PHU, shade, solar showers, spacious sites. The... Read more

"Saguaro Experience 20 Min From Tucson "

This is the fourth FIVE STAR campground in a row — Arizona has certainly delivered on the pristine landscapes and campgrounds with a view! I honestly think we booked one of the best campsites in the park — loop C, site 23. We had a 180 degree... Read more

"Otherworldly!"

The organ pipe, cholla and saguaro WITHIN the RV park are just breathtaking!! This is one of the most beautiful and unusual parks we’ve ever stayed in. The landscape 100% makes the trek to this remote park of Arizona worthwhile! Twin Peaks is the... Read more

"Terrific Well-Maintained State Park"

Surprising to find a state park literally off a main commercial thoroughfare in north Tucson. Once inside the park, you feel far away from “civilization” but retail/restaurants/services are not but a few minutes away. We were in B Loop where the... Read more

"One Of The Best"

We stopped only 1 night on our way to Tucson, not expecting how SPECTACULAR this state park campground would be! The most private, spacious sites we’ve ever had anywhere— with mountain views and miles of prickly pear, yucca and ocotillo. There are... Read more

"Good Full-Service Facility "

Friendly park with many services (FHU, pool, propane, trading post) and right next to Camping World! Seem to have an affinity for vintage trailers and Airstreams. Nice stay.

"Convenient To Navajo Lake"

This is a comfortable FHU campground with shade, a feature rare-enough in New Mexico. The town of Bloomfield is a poor community, so first impressions are off-putting. But after spending 2 nights at this park and visiting Navajo Lake to kayak,... Read more

"Blissed out in dark sky country"

No water, no internet, but FIVE STARS of canyon views, desert scenery, Milky Way star-gazing, and the kind of privacy that comes with being 30 miles remote from the nearest town (Moab). Dead Horse Point State Park has Grand Canyon-like overlooks... Read more

"Tidy + Green, in an Astroturfed Kinda Way"

This park is 12 miles from Mesa Verde NP and 26 miles from downtown Durango. It is 4 miles off Hwy 160 on a curvy but paved road. The entrance looks like you’ve arrived at nirvana (log cabin office, landscaped stone entrance with grass and... Read more

"Shady Riverside Park"

Lovely, shady little park with frontage to the Gold Medal trout fishing waters of the Rio Grande. FHU RV sites plus brand new, (rather luxe!) covered wagon “cabins” . Bathhouse is nice, cleaned twice daily. South Fork is a great home base from... Read more
