Mt Diablo is fun to visit, but at the same time - beware of the desert summer heat. Be sure to do the hike around the mountain but bring lots of water.
At Juniper campground, you can see views of the ENTIRE SF bay from the outside...

"Remote option for Big Sur Camping"
This is a small camp area with 8 or so sites and a envelope/cash pay station for first-come-first-serve. There is a pit toilet and picnic tables, but not much else. Heavily shaded and big trees. Basic, nothing special.
