"Perfect stop along the river"

Stopped for a one night stay on our way through; beautiful area! We found the access area easily and it was virtually empty with just one vanlifer parked at the opposite end near the boat ramp. We took the pull thru loop at the western end and it... Read more

"Nice guy, easy access, plus potable water fill"

Traveling during March means it’s hard to find places that have their water turned on. This stop was great because not only was the gentleman very nice and the access to the dump site super easy, he has his water on and we were able to fill our... Read more

"Port in a storm, literally. "

While traveling through the area we were caught in a high winds warning with gusts of 60 mph so we needed to get off the road and ride out the storm. With it being March, there was no one here and we didn’t use any facilities so I can’t fully rate... Read more

"Nope. "

Thought we’d use this as a quick overnighter while traveling through but quickly decided against it after we pulled in. It’s a cute and seemingly well maintained rest area with a picnic area and a playground, also had a few areas for RVs and... Read more

"Shoulder season camping at its best?"

First, the views. Absolutely beautiful views from the rim of the wall. It is hard to believe these kinds of views come for free. Second, the logistics. They’re not bad, overall. Steer Pasture and Nomad are the same thing, they are just two... Read more

"Beautiful & Empty"

Stayed one night while heading south. Drove through the middle of nowhere to get to it and pulled in right at sunset to a completely empty park. Looks like a nice little place with picnic tables and fire rings, also had a dumpster and a boat... Read more

"Planes, Trains, and Automobiles "

Stayed one night on our way through the area. The rest stop is located off the highway (not far) and in a surprisingly retail/commercial area. It’s not a large area with only about 10 pull thrus and some car parking spots (you could create a pull... Read more

"Old reliable aside from road noise"

We’ve stayed here often for a quick trip over the mountains. Have always been able to find a spot, even in busier months. Nice basic campground with good sized sites and easy access from Hwy 20. Close to Sisters for an easy trip to town for supper... Read more

"Great stop over, especially for the price "

Stopped over for a night on our way home, great location to get some sleep and not even unhook the truck. We arrived around 4:30p on a Monday and there were only about 5-6 other campers (18 sites total). Found one of the longer sites at the... Read more

"Nice spot, better option than fairgrounds "

Nice and quiet, a short drive out of town. Not many other options for this area so this was a nice find. Only 5 spots, we arrived on a Sunday evening and found one left open. Although one really nice shaded spot was taken up by just a car parked... Read more
