This place is greatness! Don't let the drive in make you leary that the park won't be very good. The area leading up to it has a lot of older run down houses, but once you get to the campground, it is pretty amazing for the price.
We stayed here on our way up to Sedona from the Tucson area for 2 nights in early April 2017.
There is a motel on site as well as RV spots. When we stayed they were also adding on about 20 more RV sites in the back and they said they are...
Yup. You heard it. We paid $20/night just for electricity here. The frugal side of me felt so wronged. I still think it is a little steep to ask, but I paid it and so did a lot of other people.
The views are awesome and you're only a few...
We stayed here mid-March 2017. We had some business in Lubbock and this park was close.
Everything was clean and level. They had rock sites on most if not all sites. The bathrooms were clean and showers were nice. The staff was friendly. We...
We stayed here late March 2017. One thing to note up front is to pay attention when booking, not all sites have sewer. Not a big deal for us, but I didn't notice when I booked it. Our rate reflects a non-sewer site.
They have covered patios at...
We stayed mid-March 2017. This little city park is just that, a small town city park. There's no frills except a pretty new little playground for the kids and a big covered basketball court all within 100yds. There's also a little league baseball...
As the other reviewer mentioned there's not much to see here. The young staffer was nice, but barely helpful. She basically told me to pick the spot I wanted but didn't really give me any direction as to how navigate the park and it isn't real...
Nothing too noteworthy here, but a decent place to stop for the night. No showers (at least we didn't see any). They have two sections they manage. One side is all RV's and another side (across the street) is all mobile homes.
This place is everything you want a dry camping experience to be.
Water nearby to fill up tanks? Check.
Dump station nearby to empty? Check.
Short walk to nice bathrooms with free hot showers? Check.
Nice lake view? Check....
Really nice park that just opened within the last year. The Manager at the time, Jim, was very friendly and helpful. $30/night rate reflects Passport America rate. Be aware that it is at around 8500' elevation and if you come from the west, you...
