We were one of only two sites occupied. Off season - no showers or flush toilets. Across the street is a beautiful nature trail, Scuppernong Nature Trail.
Not too far off the highway. Beautiful lake, clean site with electric, fire ring and picnic table.
Water was turned off as it is already November.
We’ll make note of this place for next time we are in the area. Gem!
Arrived after sundown, sites still available. Woke in the morning and found a lovely, well maintained campground. Didn’t use facilities but looked to be flushed toilets, door unlocked.
Spectacular views when sun came up.
Great, isolated spots around a fishing lake. No facilities, great for an overnight stay between State Parks.
Not dog friendly due to cactus debris! Quite nasty, but that is nature.
Little bit of I-10 road noise.
Cell service is great 3-4 bars AT&T service.
Spectacular night skies.
Nice hiking, be careful and stay away from any abandoned mines....
