"Close to Everything for the Quarry Entrance "

We arrived around 5pm on a Saturday and there were only two sites left this past weekend that were first come first serve. You have to use cash/check or pay with a card at the gate. The bathrooms were flush toilets with a sink. We were surprised... Read more

"Close Proximity To Trails"

The soil is very hard to get your tent stakes in. Most of the sites have a slope to them so when it rains it would not be fun with all the clays. Sites are very close to each other. Each site seems to have good enough space for parking vehicles,... Read more

"Easy Access To Great Adventure "

Camped in loop C which was $20 but loop B w/electrical was $34. The sites are nicely tucked in and separated by trees. The Rim Rock trail starts right outside of the campground.

"Expensive Location"

Being right next to I-70 and charging $20 for a piece of dirt, interstate noise all night and a pit toilet. The only way to pay was with cash. This place is not worth it you might as well sleep at a rest area for a couple of hours instead.

"Beautiful Little Canyon"

We arrived around dusk using the coordinates from Campendium. It was a peaceful area to rest for the night with the creek rushing in the background. We even heard an owl!

"Clean Facilities with Lots to Explore!"

Arrived right at check in around 4pm and found our reserved spot easily. The sites are closer together than other MN state parks. The campground is located near trails that connect to the rest of the park. Showers were nice and are included in the... Read more

"Great For A Quick Overnight Stay "

Easy overnight stop before driving to northern Minnesota. Not too busy, even on the 4th of July weekend. Multiple trains throughout the night made it somewhat difficult to sleep, but otherwise, the sleeping areas were nice. Bathrooms were very clean.

"Perfect Location to Explore 🦬"

We camped for two nights in the spring (off season—no running water provided) and it was fantastic! We heard coyotes both nights we stayed. Pit toilet was clean with hand sanitizer and the camp tables were sturdy. Payment and reservations were... Read more

"Amazing! Beautiful night sky!"

This campground is great! There are some spots where you can drive up and camp, walk-in sites, or stay in a yurt. We stayed in a yurt in the mid fall which was so nice since the temperatures at night were lower.
