This isn't a big park (only 28 sites) but their sites are very wide and deep and all gravel. Each site is fenced in like a corral which makes parking very simple. Theres even a portable fire pit at each site. The Wind River flows along the back... Read more

"Spacious sites"

We’ve stayed st several IL state parks and have enjoyed staying at them. Here we stayed at Deer Run campground. Site was very level with electric only. Sites are well spaced so you’re not on top of one another. We even liked the unique campfire pit!

"Peaceful "

Stayed here for Easter weekend. Park is nicely spaced out with lots of trees. Sites are cement pads with water and electric. Fishing piers are located along the banks. Campground is clean and well maintained.

"Good for overnight stay"

We stayed 8/17/20 extremely hot weather but it was close enough to Little Bighorn for us to visit late afternoon after setting up and in the morning before checkout. Full hookup. Everything worked fine. Just doesn’t have any wow factors.
