"New CG still sparkles"

Huge park, lots of hiking. Moderatly sized CG, great destination. Everything is new, well planned and maintained; our best stop going south for the winter.

"Plenty rural"

Small state park with rustic sights. FHU, not level, great dog walking. Best feature were baths and toilets. Likely won't be back.

"Right on Mobile Bay"

This is typical of a well managed state campground. Back in, FHU, spacious, water views, accessible, fishing, dog walks - we're just passing through but have a day to do touristy stuff, including USS Alabama. We'll be back. Dinner at Oyster... Read more

Careful! We had to make a couple of u-turns to find the entrance. No surprises for a KOA. Back in, FHU, level. Not much space. Nice neighbor and helpful staff. Close to New Orleans airport and interstate to NO, Trolly to downtowns still is not... Read more

No real connection to Tom Sawyer or Samuel Clements except its right on the Missippi River and plenty of barges going past. But a little run down. Riverfront sites are FHU. The road in/out is a bit rough, but no worse than lots of parks. Our... Read more

"In the "boonies" without boon docking"

On our way south for the winter, this is a great place to stop for the night. Although small, we had a 30 a. FHU which is unusual this far north in December. Showers etc. are not available this time of yea. r"Wrigley" is the dog pictured and gets... Read more
