We only stayed one night on our way to Des Moines. Everything was very pleasant. Staff was helpful. Level spots and the bonus was we kayaked on the pond.

"Fine for overnight"

Walmart on the west side of town. Very noisy but fine for 1 night. Found a level spot. No one bothered us. Saw other RV’s so we didn’t bother to check with manager. Thank you Walmart. We bought $50 of merch.

"Perfect location"

The wahweep campground was full even on Easter Sunday. We arrived at this little sweet campground at 2:30 p.m. Practically across the road from the wahweap campground. We paid $7 because we have the senior pass.

"Beautiful winter camping"

Gorgeous area. Surprised that their were 20 other campers. Facilities with showers were open. Our spot was level. Maybe 6 inches of snow and 50 degrees. Did get about 25 degrees at night. Trinidad is such a cool town as well.

"Rest stop-handy"

Great spot for free. Pros: just off I-40 west; open. Cons:: trains go by every 30 minutes and some semi noise from freeway. One sign says closed, but it is open.
