"Lovely state park-like campground right on the river."

Lovely park, wide/long spaces, easy access, well maintained, gorgeous surroundings, close to local shops and attractions, and the drive up the Scenic Loop is breathtaking. Definitely one of our top 10 parks.

"Definitely one of our top 5... maybe even #1."

Gorgeous city park-like setting, quiet, easy access, long/wide spaces, meticulously maintained, perfectly situated for day trips to nearby Coeur d'Alene or Sand Point... worth every penny of the $45 per night; we've paid a lot more for a lot... Read more

"Lots of good, some bad."

PROS: The park is neat, well maintained, diverse with lots of different types of rigs and tents, an excellent playground for kids -- which can be good or bad based on your feelings about screaming children -- and a lovely park/patio setting where... Read more

"Lovely, quaint and beautifully wooded RV park with a non-traditional layout."

We loved that the park looks like it was carved out of the woods. The grounds were quaint and well maintained, the park was relatively quiet and the hosts were exceptionally nice people. A couple quick notes to keep in mind: 1) It's not the... Read more

"A little on the run down side, but clean and easy enough to get in and out of."

The pull-thru spaces were just long enough for our 42' rig and tow'd. The power was stable but the water pressure fluctuated greatly and was never particularly strong... had to use our internal pump most of the time, which is not big deal. The... Read more

"Despite misinformation on CAMPENDIUM, the entire park is 30 AMP ONLY, no 50 amp in any site."

Lovely park, Amy --the manager -- does an excellent job maintaining it. Roads in and out were a little tight for my 42' Class A but we wiggled through. Our site (site "I") was just long enough for our rig and our car behind, but that's it... but... Read more

"Cute little park with just barely enough room for our rig, but they went out of their way to make it work"

We were originally trying to book a space somewhere in Reno, NV for Hot August Nights but everything we could fit into was booked, so we found the Desert Rose in Fernley and we're very glad we did. Yeah, it's about an hour into Reno, but that... Read more

"Clean, well maintained, nice trees, long pull-thrus..."

The best part of Boulder Creek RV Resort is its location. There is so much to drive around and see -- from the Alabama Hills with all its amazing natural arches to Mt Whitney Campground with its waterfalls hiking trails to Lone Pine itself and a... Read more

"Good, basic stop-over spot."

As I read Chris & Cherie's review from 2015, it seems like nothing has changed much. The sites are basic, level and graveled with a mix of small- and large-grade gravel... easy to level on, not so easy to walk in bare feet on :) As previously... Read more

"Gorgeous scenery, excellent price! "

Whitney Pocket is an excellent example of the best that BLM has to offer in the high desert. The road in is a little rough - very rough in spots - but it's totally worth it. We drove it in our 42' rig with a tow'd attached and we got rattled... Read more
