"Too rough a road"
I think I was just spoiled with our last boon docking spot that had a beautiful running creek. There are plenty spots here to camp and the road is doable for a big rig if you’re taking it slow. Salida is close by at least for the necessities.

Montrose does a great job with this whole area. We easily parked our class A with tow. Our dog was able to take advantage of the incredible dog park and we loved walking along the river. What a beautiful place to enjoy a one night free stay!
