"Beautiful, but closed for winter"

We came at night time and ended up spending the night at the boat ramp, the campground is closed for winter with a little sign. No one bothered us, but wish we stayed longer if it was opened.

"Hidden gem "

This is a stunning spot if you can make down the steep and narrow dirt road. I wouldn’t suggest going with anything bigger than our 29ft motorhome. It’s truly magical location with minutes walk to the Buffalo River with views that will take your... Read more

"Great free camping, river access "

We stayed 8 nights, it was quiet. Some locals on the weekends. Short walk to the river, in which we bathed. 20 min to natural spring with the most delicious drinking water. 20 min to Dillon nearest grocery store.

"Okay, but flooded"

Pros Hot and cold showers if you’re willing to shower in pretty gross public bathrooms that no one maintains, but hey it works and it’s free. Pretty friendly ppl, there were few rvs that have been there for quit some time, one even has a rooster... Read more

"Beautiful, rare to come across! "

We stayed all labor weekend. To get there you pass through huge cattle operation, so that was concerting especially reading the previous review. But we were lucky the wind was blowing the other way and maybe twice we got a slight smell of cattle.... Read more

"Good spot, but not for big rigs"

5th wheels or the largest I would say class c would be good. We have class A and man did it struggle. It is super steep to get here. grounds are pretty uneven. Other then that cool spot like the others stated above.

"Beautiful spot! "

Easy to get to. It does have signs all over saying to overnight camping. But there were locals camping in tents by the river and told us that rangers never kick ppl out just tell them not to make fires in the fires season. Such a beautiful spot!

"No more then one night"

If you want to stay more then one night you have to call the number posted by the bathrooms to register. It says group camping only, we arrived late afternoon, and decided to take our chances. There was one camper, he was a local and told us we... Read more

"Awesome Boondocking!"

Very well maintained, better then some paid RV campgrounds. Yes no electricity, or dump but so private with each site separated by trees. DO NOT USE THE WATER FOR FRESH WATER TANK. We did and we had to get it flushed with bleach. Water is yellow... Read more

"Quiet and peaceful"

Sweet, secluded spot! But we aware the rod is very rough especially for bigger rigs. We have class A 29” and it was challenging in certain spots. But once you make it up the views are beautiful and yes good cell signal.
